Research
Yiwen received her Bachelor of Sciences in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Boston University in 2024 and joined the BAnD Lab in June 2024. Yiwen previously worked on hyperscanning functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to quantify the efficacy of speech and language therapy for aphasia and supported hardware optimization on the colocation of fNIRS-EEG system. As a Research Technician in BAnD Lab, she contributes to neuroimaging data acquisition, including MRI, EEG, and NIRS, and establishes data processing pipelines for the analysis of theAging Adult Human Connectome (AABC) Project and FlexNIRS. She also supports other studies, including Resilience/Resistance against Alzheimer’s Disease in Centenarians & Offspring (RADCO) and Advanced Brain Monitoring (ABM) projects.
