Research

Chan-Mi is interested in identifying initial brain changes caused by neurodegenerative diseases, notably in Alzheimer’s disease, by assessing integrated information from multimodal brain images. She has experience in multimodal brain image analysis, including structural and functional MRI and PET images, and developed several multimodal-based combining methods using statistical theory. In her current work, she is investigating the effect of the Blood-Brain-Barrier disruption on brain structural-functional changes in subjects with elderly normal cognition and patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment by using multimodal brain images.
