Research
Barnaly received her PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on signal processing and biomedical engineering from the University of New Mexico, USA. Her primary interests include structural and functional brain alterations due to aging, cardiovascular risks and neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Currently, she is investigating brain connectivity alterations due to cardiovascular risk factors, and developing brain-based machine learning models to characterize patients with AD.
