Clinical Research Coordinator II

Research

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology and Psychology and a minor in German from Colby College in 2019 and joined the BAnD Lab in January of 2020. She contributes to several studies within the lab, including the Human Connection Project and the Brain Wave Study (INSPECDS), but her primary focus lies on in the APOE and COVID-19 studies. The APOE study aims to determine the physiological mechanisms through which the APOE gene impacts vascular function throughout the brain, and the COVID-19 study intends to investigate how two classes of blood pressure medications works to prevent long-term impairments of cerebral blood flow in patients with high blood pressure who have had COVID-19. Emily enjoys interaction with all of our wonderful participants and staff and hopes to pursue a career as a Nurse Practitioner after her time at MGH.
